What is Bentlee’s Blessings?

Bentlee’s Blessings is our annual fundraiser hosted by Bella Salon & Bello Barber in honor of our beloved shop dog, Bentlee. Each year, we come together with our guests, friends, and community to support a local cause that makes a difference for animals in need.

This year, all donations will go to Rescued, a local nonprofit that provides food, vet care, and emergency support to pets right here in our community.

Hi, I’m Bentlee!

I take my job as salon dog very seriously—making sure every guest feels welcome the moment they walk through the door. It’s hard work being this cute, though… so when I’m not greeting my friends, you’ll probably find me napping, sunbathing, or getting spoiled with attention from our guests.

I know how lucky I am, but not all pets get the same love and care I do. That’s why I started Bentlee’s Blessings—to help my furry friends who need food, medicine, and safe homes. With your help, we can make a difference together.

Why Rescued?

We chose Rescued because of the incredible impact they have in our community. Every day, they help cover vet bills, provide emergency care, and supply food and essentials for pets in need. Their work gives animals the second chance they deserve—and with your support, we can help ease their constant demand for supplies and funding.

This year, we’re honored to sponsor a sweet 3-year-old boxer mix named Balboa. All proceeds and donations from Bentlee’s Blessings will go directly toward helping him get the surgery and care he needs (and anything extra will allow Rescued to help other fur babies). Meet Balboa below:

Meet Balboa!

Hi, my name is Balboa. I’m a 3-year-old boxer mix, and my mom calls me her prince. She adopted me in February 2024, and while I had a sore leg back then, it didn’t seem too bad. Lately though, it’s gotten much worse—I can barely keep up, and I’ve started acting more like an old man than the playful pup I really am.

This week, I went to my vet (I love my vet visits!). They gave me some sleepy medicine and ran tests. The diagnosis? I have an ACL tear and need TPLO surgery right away. Without it, I risk injuring my other leg too.

The surgery costs between $4,000–$5,000, and it’s more than my mom can handle alone. But she needs me, and I need her. We’ve already been through so much together, and we still have so many adventures ahead.
