Empower Her is a Mother’s Day raffle fundraiser with the goal of showcasing and supporting some of our favorite local women-owned businesses while giving back to local women and mother’s in need through the Humility of Mary.
Why Humility of Mary?
The Humility of Mary is a women’s religious community in Davenport, Iowa. They devote themselves to serving others in the community and around the world, especially women. In the Quad Cities they help struggling women and mother’s find help with food, clothing, shelter, education, and necessary supplies. However, the women they assist go through an education program helping to ensure that they have the skills needed to get and maintain a job, be financially responsible, receive education, and never have to be in a place of struggle again. They empower these women to take control of their life and that of their children and family, creating a more successful and empowered individual.
How Can I Participate?
You can visit any one of the amazing women owned businesses participating in this event to purchase a raffle ticket and perhaps even a great Mother’s Day gift for the special moms in your life. Or you can use the QR code below to Venmo a donation or enter the raffle. Raffle tickets are $3 for 1 or $5 for 2. If you choose to purchase a raffle ticket with the Venmo code below, make sure you add your phone number and that you would like to be entered, just so we don’t miss putting your name on a ticket!
